Welcome to TravelDealsToLove.com. This site is not only dedicated to sharing our experiences, but also to helping you find great travel deals(we all love deals), plan your trips better, give you great tips and tricks, and find great gear and accessories for every trip.

I’ve known Tim for almost 30 years now. We’ve both, always had a hard time planting our feet in one place for very long. Between the two of us, we have lived in Southern California, on the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia, Guam, and traveled to places like Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Spain, Portugal, Morocco, and the Micronesian Islands of Palau, Pohnapei, and Saipan, not to mention all the various places within the United States.

For now we call Minnesota “home”. When retirement comes, who knows where home will be.

A little more about each of us…

Lynn Rockwell

I grew up traveling on family vacations during my summers, in the traditional American way in the 1960’s and 70’s. You packed up the suite-cases, packed the car- including the kids - and you headed out across America for two weeks to visit such places as the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, San Francisco to see the Golden Gate Bridge, or just to go visit family in a far away state. The thought of buying airplane tickets never even crossed anyone’s mind. Not only would it have been completely unaffordable, but it would have taken all the fun out of the trip! You spent hours on end playing traveling car games, until you finally stopped at some out of the way place, to see such amazements as gigantic turtles, or to simply play mini-golf, or dip your toes in a cool mountain fed stream.

Tim Rockwell

I spent summers camping with extended family. We are talking aunts, uncles, and cousins, and we all loaded up the station wagons with tents and enough supplies to last a week or two and headed out, where days were spent fishing or hiking, or simply hanging out and having fun together. Evenings were spent around the fire sharing stories and good times. To this day when we cousins get together, talk still turns back to those summer’s spent in northern Wisconsin with extended family and all the good times had. Today we still continue the tradition with a week long camping trip to Chetek, WI every summer that has occurred without interruption since our son was 1 year old (he is now 19). It still involves aunts, uncles and cousins, and hopefully our kids will tell similar stories when they are our age - who knows maybe they will continue the tradition as well!

Our latest travels have taken us to Ocho Rios, Jamaica for a week, which was absolutely fabulous and relaxing! The people of Jamaica are some of the friendliest, loveliest people in the world. We also took our first cruise to the Caribbean last year, we are absolutely hooked on cruising now! We can’t wait to go again! These days, we try to explore a new destination each year, and look forward to retirement when we can spend more time traveling and enjoying more of what this wonderful world has to offer.
